The pod

About the team

You will join our Engineering practice — six design-engineers who work in pods with designers and strategists. We ship four to six flagship projects a year, no more. You will own the code and the motion for one or two of them at a time.

What you will do

Responsibilities

  1. Prototype and ship production Next.js + TypeScript sites for founder-led brands.
  2. Own the motion layer end-to-end — Framer Motion, GSAP, custom scroll.
  3. Partner with a design director and a strategist as a three-person pod.
  4. Mentor a mid-level engineer through one project each quarter.

What we need

Requirements

  • 5+ years shipping production React or Next.js.
  • A portfolio with at least three sites where motion is the point, not the garnish.
  • Deep opinions about accessibility, performance and the boring parts of the web.
  • Track record of owning a project from Figma to production and back.

Bonus points

Nice to have

  • Published open source, a personal site you actually update, or written work on the craft.
  • WebGL / three.js fluency.
